Passare Integration Overview

webCemeteries has partnered with Passare to automatically sync deceased records, events, and contacts between both systems.

This integration updates records in real time, helping ensure your data stays accurate and up to date. You can also choose to link or unlink records at any time, giving you full control over what is synced.

Getting Started

To enable the Passare Integration, please email support at support@webcemeteries.com, or, click submit a request on the top right corner.

Navigating to Passare in webCemeteries

Hover over "Deceased" on the left side menu, and select "Passare Cases".

Passare Cases

The Passare Cases screen displays all cases from Passare that are not yet linked to a deceased record in webCemeteries.

By default, you will land on the Unlinked Cases tab, which shows all active, unlinked cases.

Each case includes key details such as:

  • Decedent Name
  • Address
  • Date of Birth
  • Relationships
  • Events
  • Obituary
  • Branch
  • Case Status

From this screen, you can:

  • Link or create a deceased record using the button on the right
  • Ignore a case if you do not want to link it at this time by selecting the button.

Ignored cases will move to the Ignored Cases tab. You can still return to these later and choose to link or sync them if needed.

Link or Create a Deceased Record

To link, or create a new deceased record from a case, select the symbol next the case:

Step 1

Select one of the following:

  • Link to an existing record (if a match is found), or
  • Create a new record using the Passare data

Click Next to continue.

Step 2

Add events in Passare:

To bring events from Passare into webCemeteries, select Sync All Passare Events.

Synced events will appear in the Services section of the deceased record and may include:

  • Event name
  • Location or venue
  • Date
  • Start and end times

If you choose not the Sync all events, you can still manually sync events in the deceased record.

Click Next to continue.

Step 3

Add Family and Friends in Passare:

To sync contacts associated with the decedent, select Sync All Passare Contacts.

This will:

  • Create new contacts in webCemeteries
  • Automatically assign their relationship to the decedent
  • Display them in the Contacts section of the record

If you choose not the Sync all contacts, you can still manually sync them in the deceased record.

Click Next to continue.

 

Step 4

Review the information, and select "Complete" if everything looks right.

Step 5

Once successful, you will see a confirmation message at the bottom of the screen.

You can verify the link by searching for the decedent in webCemeteries. A Passare sync icon will appear next to fields that are actively syncing.

Important Notes

  • Any updates made in Passare will automatically sync to webCemeteries
  • Synced fields will be overwritten with the latest Passare data
  • You can manage or unlink synced Contacts and Events anytime.
