Understanding Signed Status
Learn more about editing or updating contract status.
What is the Signed Status?
The Signed status was created for the webCemeteries Contracts module to allow you to complete the contract. Once you’ve received owner or purchaser signatures on the contract, hop into your webCemeteries account and update the status to Signed to show that the contract has been fully executed.
A “signed” contract is preserved in the exact state as the day it was signed so that you can reference it later on if need be. You will be able to access signed contracts through the search tool and you can print the contract, print payment terms, view terms and conditions, and view rights of interment.
What happens after a Contract is signed?
After a contract has been signed, it can no longer be edited or changed in order to keep the contract valid. A signed contract can only be changed to Cancelled status or updated to Paid in Full status once the contract terms have been paid in full.
“Signed” cannot be undone!
Double check contract details, before updating the contract status to “Signed” as you won’t be able to make changes after this status has been set. The only way to change a “Signed” contract is to cancel it and then start a new contract.
