Burial Search Integration Options

If you're interested in having your Burial Search upgraded, please contact support via the "Submit Ticket" link at the top of the page, or, emailing support@webcemeteries.com.

Basic Search

If your cemetery is not mapped or if you do not wish to display mapping in your public website, you can use our Basic Search. When you search for a deceased here, the results will display the decedent's name, profile photo, important dates and their burial location. If you are using Remember My Journey, you will see a button below the Location that says VIEW & SUBMIT MEMORIES, which will take you to their Remember My Journey page.

How the search works

The search will look for every entry with the characters you type into the search bar, ranking EXACT matches as the highest, but also including other results that may be similar but not exact.

The search will also search for names that were entered in other fields in the deceased record, like "AKA" or "Nee":

You can also search by dates. Enter a name and a date, which could be an exact date, or simply just a year. The format used to enter the date does not matter:

You can even search a range of dates by using a hyphen:

Map Search

If your cemetery is mapped, and you do wish to display mapping, you can use the Map Search. With the Map Search, you are able to view the location of the burial and others nearby on a map, signified by pins. You still get all the information from the Basic Search, but the results will now also have a few more options. The GET DIRECTIONS button will give you directions via Google Maps to the location of the burial. If you integrate with Cemetery Listing Service, you will have a NEARBY AVAILABLE PROPERTY button, which will show available burial rights near this deceased record (within 200 feet), in your cemetery.

Recent Obituaries

If a deceased has a recent or upcoming Service Date, then they will appear in Recent Obituaries (the date range of the recent or upcoming service dates is customizable).

The recent obituaries will display in a carousel format with arrows on the right and left to scroll through the results. On each deceased record, you can view information regarding any upcoming Events/Services, and a link to their Remember My Journey page. Records can be ordered by date or service or by date of death.

Entering a Service Date for a Deceased Record

To enter a service date, see Step 8 and Step 9 of our article on adding an Event/Service to a Deceased Record.

Upcoming Events/Services

Here you will find upcoming Events and Services for burials. It will display the Type of Event, Date, Time and Location of the event. Below that will also be a link to their Remember My Journey Page. This integration will only display records that have upcoming events.
